What do you think of Candidates not addressing the horrible falsehoods being thrown at Obama?

I can understand that we are going to have idiots out there saying terrible things that they either make up or hear from somewhere and believe at face value. America is a melting pot in more ways than one. Even though this is a campaign I think each candidate has a moral obligation to deflect the over the top rumors that are out there. Some of this stuff is downright nasty and should be denounced by all of the candidates as well as all of the media. If it's not true then it should be delt with publicly just like the media did with the John McCain false attack. Newsweek mag, L.A. Tmes, poweful Jewish leaders and more have already denounced the Obama rumors so whats wrong with Hillary and McCain. There has to be a limit to how far we will go to win if we are going to be respected as a people. All hatred aside what do y'all think.
